This commitment has attracted some of the top directors in the industry behind some of today’s biggest hits, and over the next few years, we’ll be releasing films from leading filmmakers including Danny Boyle, Darren Aronofsky, Nia DaCosta, Sam Mendes, Lord & Miller, and Kogonada. We kicked off 2025 with the release of One of Them Days , an original buddy comedy starring Keke Palmer and SZA, produced by Issa Rae. The film resonated deeply with audiences and quickly became a box office favorite. Next was Spyglass’s latest horror offering, Heart Eyes , which had audiences on the edge of their seats. Finally, the third installment of the beloved Paddington franchise, Paddington in Peru, is currently in theaters, captivating fans once again with the marmalade-loving bear’s latest adventure. On April 25, Until Dawn will hit theaters. From horror veterans David F. Sandberg and Gary Dauberman, this thrilling R-rated film expands on PlayStation’s popular video game. It follows a group of friends who must relive the same terrifying night, again and again, unless they can survive until dawn. On May 30, Karate Kid: Legends will see the return of Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio in their iconic roles. This new chapter in the legendary Karate Kid franchise expands its mythology in ways fans have never seen before, introducing an all-new Karate Kid played by up-and-coming actor Ben Wang. June 28 brings 28 Years Later , the highly anticipated follow-up to Danny Boyle’s and Alex Garland’s groundbreaking 2002 film 28 Days Later. This visceral, thrilling sequel stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell, continuing the story of a post-apocalyptic world in a way that only Boyle and Garland can deliver. On July 18, horror fans will get a summer treat with I Know What You Did Last Summer , the sequel to the iconic ‘90s slasher movies. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, original film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., return alongside an exciting new cast featuring Madelyn Cline, Tyriq Withers, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Haur-King, Sarah Pidgeon, Gabbriette, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Lola Tung. On August 1, Beneath the Storm hits theaters. Directed by Tommy Wirkola, this thriller stars Phoebe Dynevor, Whitney Peak, and Djimon Hounsou. Produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick, it promises to be an edge-of-your-seat experience. August 15 will see the release of CLIKA, a culturally defining original drama from Jimmy Humilde, CEO of Rancho Humilde, the powerhouse Mexican-American recording label revolutionizing Latin music. Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing debuts on August 29. The film centers on a former baseball player who finds himself thrust into the gritty criminal underworld of ‘90s New York City, and features a star-studded cast, including Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Matt Smith, and Bad Bunny. On September 26, DreamWorks Animation elevates its global smash streaming series into its first ever cinematic adventure with Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Since the series debut in 2021, kids around the world have been having one big sprinkle party with Gabby and her friends. In the new film, Gabby heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera, Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late. Also from Searchlight, Jesse Eisenberg’s award-winning A Real Pain was nominated for two Oscars® – and took home the award for Actor in a Supporting Role for Kieran Culkin. Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World starring Anthony Mackie soared into theaters, and just last week Disney Studios’ live- action Snow White, featuring Rachel Zegler in the title role and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, brought the beloved classic fairy tale to life with a fresh take. In the next few weeks, fans will be treated to multiple high-octane releases. 20th Century Studios will release The Amateur on April 11, taking moviegoers on a heart- pounding and high- stakes CIA thriller starring Rami Malek and Rachel Brosnahan, followed by Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* in May, which unites a team of anti-heroes in a new chapter within the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring an ensemble cast.
