At NEON, we pride ourselves on presenting a diverse slate of films that amplify the voices of visionary storytellers. From auteur-driven cinema to elevated genre storytelling, our dynamic mix ensures that both prestige and commercial audiences find something to inspire and excite them. 2024 marked NEON’s most successful year yet. Osgood Perkins’ Longlegs set a new record for our highest-ever opening weekend, becoming not only our top-grossing release but also the highest-grossing Rated R horror film of 2024. By its third week in release, Longlegs also beat out Talk To Me and Insidious Chapter 3 to be the best- grossing independent horror film of the past decade. This year is already shaping up to be another exceptional year for NEON. We kicked off 2025 with our widest release to date, The Monkey , continuing our collaboration with Osgood Perkins and achieving our second-largest opening weekend, just behind Longlegs. Two weeks later, Anora made history with five Academy Award® wins: Best Film Editing (Sean Baker), Best Original Screenplay (Sean Baker), Best Director (Sean Baker), Best Actress (Mikey Madison), and Best Picture (Sean Baker, Samantha Quan, Alex Coco). Sean Baker also became the first individual to win four Oscars for the same film in a single ceremony. Looking ahead, our slate continues to impress. This April, we’ll release the wildly entertaining slasher comedy Hell of A Summer, written, directed by, and starring Stranger Things alum Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk. Fred Hechinger (Gladiator II, Thelma ) plays a mid-20s camp counselor feeling out of touch with his teenage co-workers—unaware that a masked killer is stalking the campgrounds, brutally eliminating counselors one by one. Following that, we have The Life of Chuck , directed by Mike Flanagan and based on a Stephen King short story. With a powerhouse cast led by Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mark Hamill, the film unravels the inspiring life of one man, moving backward from present-day to his wonder-filled childhood, showcasing the joy, unfulfilled dreams, and lasting impact of a single life. Slated for release this August is Sundance favorite, Together. The film stars Dave Franco and Alison Brie as a couple at a crossroads, relocating to the country and leaving behind everything familiar—except each other. When a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, love, and very beings, their relationship faces its ultimate test. Later this Summer and Fall, we’ll have Shelby Oaks from YouTube sensation Chris Stuckmann, Splitsville , a comedy starring Dakota Johnson ( Suspiria ) and Adria Arjona (Hitman), and Keeper, our third collaboration with Osgood Perkins. His latest horror reunites Perkins with Tatiana Maslany from The Monkey, though details remain under wraps. We look forward to sharing more as Keeper , and our next several releases get slated for debut. Our commitment to the theatrical experience remains unwavering. While many studios pivot toward streaming, we are steadfast in our dedication to the big screen.
