Before we get into Focus’ upcoming slate, we want to highlight some of our recent successes. In the closing months of 2024, we brought you not one, but two major hits. First, we had Conclave , Edward Berger’s gripping story of ambitious cardinals vying to become pope, and Nosferatu, Robert Eggers’ haunting and enthralling take on the classic vampire tale. Both titles thrilled wide audiences, earning over $280 million at the global box office between them, in addition to 12 Academy Award® nominations, with Conclave taking home the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Focus has cultivated a 2025 slate that builds on these recent successes, continuing to work with the industry’s top filmmakers, from long-beloved auteurs to game-changing breakout talent. We are continuing our commitment to bring a diverse theatrical slate to your theaters. Just in the last two months we have released three well received films, by critics and audiences alike. First among them was Last Breath , starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu. Next came Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag starring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, and Pierce Brosnan. Most recently, The Ballad of Wallis Island has been winning over audiences at Sundance and SXSW and we have begun to bring this heartwarming film to theaters, this past weekend. The comedy-drama, executive produced by Carey Mulligan, who stars alongside writers Tom Basden and Tim Key, follows an eccentric lottery winner pursuing his dream of getting his favorite musicians, the former-lover duo of Mortimer and McGwyer, to play a private show at his remote island home. I look forward to seeing this film having a long run at your theaters this April. Next up, with a limited release on May 30th and wide expansion on June 6th, Focus has Wes Anderson’s newest feature, The Phoenician Scheme, marking its third collaboration with the legendary filmmaker. Directed by Anderson, who co-wrote with Roman Coppola, the star-packed film is the story of a family and a family business. Benicio del Toro plays tycoon Anatole “Zsa-zsa” Korda, one of the richest men in Europe; Mia Threapleton is Sister Liesl, his nun daughter; and Michael Cera is Bjorn Lund, an entomologist. Also starring are Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Mathieu Amalric, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Richard Ayoade, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Later this year, on September 12th, Focus will release the highly anticipated Downton Abbey 3 , the final installment of the hit franchise, uniting audiences around the world one last time with their favorite aristocratic family and its beloved staff. The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Joely Richardson, Paul Giamatti, and Dominic West. Next up, releasing on November 7th, Focus has Bugonia , the newest project from Yorgos Lanthimos, whose recent hits have made him one of the most sought-after filmmakers working. Returning to her longtime collaboration with Lanthimos is the equally iconic Emma Stone, who both produced Bugonia and stars opposite Jesse Plemons. Written by Will Tracy, who recently wrote and produced both Succession and The Menu, Bugonia follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. That’s not all. Focus has three more highly anticipated films coming later this year. LISA BUNNELL President, Distribution Focus Features (Continued on back pages of The Studio Lot )CinemaCon Would Like to Thank For Their Outstanding Support and Assistance in The ColosseumLionsgate is delighted to be back at Caesars Palace to share a closer look at some of the exciting films we have on our upcoming slate. We’re looking forward to seeing you all throughout the week and in the Colosseum on Tuesday. It’s been an exciting year for us so far, with two number one films at the box office. In January, Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera brought Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. back to the big screen, and we now have a third film in the franchise in the works. We followed up with Mel Gibson’s Flight Risk, starring Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, and Topher Grace. We want to thank you all for the tremendous support we’ve received from the exhibition community and look forward to the rest of the year ahead. Kerry Washington and Omar Sy kick off our summer slate in Shadow Force, an action- packed thriller that follows the duo as the leaders of a multinational special forces group. They broke the rules by falling in love and going underground in order to protect their son. With a large bounty on their heads, and the vengeful Shadow Force hot on their trail, one family’s fight becomes all-out war. Multifaceted Grammy-winning and Oscar® and Emmy-nominated recording superstar The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) teams with critically acclaimed director Trey Edward Shults to deliver a psychological thriller inspired by and featuring new music from his latest album. Timed with the debut of the new album and tour, Hurry Up Tomorrow tells the story of a musician plagued by insomnia who’s pulled into an odyssey with a stranger that begins to unravel the very core of his existence. In 2014, audiences across the country were introduced to the world of John Wick, kicking off a franchise that has since grossed over $1 billion globally. This June, Academy Award nominee Ana de Armas stars in the franchise’s first spinoff. Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the film follows Eve Macarro (de Armas) as she begins her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma. Ballerina promises to deliver the excitement and action that made John Wick famous. Coming this Fall, Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Aziz Ansari steps behind the camera in his directorial feature debut, Good Fortune. Ansari, Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Keanu Reeves star in this sharp and heartfelt comedy following a well- meaning-but-rather-inept angel named Gabriel (Reeves) who meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Rogen). Get ready for more mind-bending illusions in the third installment of the $670-million- grossing Now You See Me franchise. This November, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher return as The Four Horsemen as they join forces with a new generation of illusionists played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt. We have scares for you this spooky season as the Strangers will be knocking at your door. We continue the story as Madelaine Petsch stars in The Strangers—Chapter 2, following our successful collaboration with you last year on the first frightening chapter. This Christmas, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried star in The Housemaid , based on Frieda McFadden’s best-selling novel. Director Paul Feig brings his unique vision to a suspenseful thriller about power, class, and revenge. KEVIN GRAYSON President, Worldwide Theatrical Distribution Lionsgate (Continued on the next page)Looking ahead, we have a diverse and exciting slate of films to keep your theaters filled. Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas star in Power Ballad, the story of a talented but past- his-prime wedding singer (Rudd) and a former boy-band sensation (Jonas) who uses the wedding singer’s songwriting prowess to revitalize his own career. John Carney (Sing Street, Once) directs. From the highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King’s first-written novel, and the visionary direction of filmmaker Francis Lawrence comes The Long Walk , an intense, chilling and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far can you go? Mutiny is an action-thriller starring and produced by Jason Statham; we are getting started on Karoshi, produced by our friends at Chad Stahelski’s 87Eleven Entertainment, and Day Drinker, starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz and directed by Marc Webb; our successful collaboration with Kingdom Story Company continues with I Can Only Imagine 2, a sequel to the $83 million hit. And there’s also more Saw on the way, with many more bold and inventive games to play – and more blood to spill – as we continue the billion-dollar franchise. We’re also very excited about two massive tentpoles on the way. Michael will bring audiences a riveting portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became known worldwide as the King of Pop. This epic, cinematic experience will examine Jackson’s triumphs and tragedies — from his human side, to his public and private struggles, to the accusations and the 24/7 media microscope Jackson lived under, even at his artistic apex. The all-star filmmaking team will also capture Michael’s undeniable creative genius, recreating his most memorable, iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look at one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known. Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, stars in the title role alongside Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo. And of course, we are expanding The Hunger Games franchise with The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, the latest film in the blockbuster $3.3 billion franchise. Suzanne Collins’s latest best-selling book was just released and we are all hugely excited to see it come to life on your screens on November 20, 2026. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to a great rest of 2025 with many more exciting projects on the horizon. Lionsgate is committed to bringing a diversified slate of bold, fresh and original films to your screens, and we anticipate another strong year of partnership in 2026 and beyond.
