This summer brings the heat on June 24th with the newest extravaganza from singular filmmaker Baz Luhrmann: Elvis . This drama about the life and music of Elvis Presley stars Austin Butler in the title role and Tom Hanks as his manager, Col. Tom Parker, and is told through the prism of their complicated relationship. The film also stars Helen Thomson and Richard Roxburgh as Gladys and Vernon Presley, Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla, as well as Luke Bracey, Natasha Bassett, David Wenham, Kelvin Harrison, Jr., Xavier Samuel, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Dacre Montgomery, Leon Ford, Kate Mulvany, Gareth Davies, Charles Grounds, Josh McConville, Adam Dunn, Yola, Alton Mason, Gary Clark Jr. and Shonka Dukureh. September offers not one, but two exciting offerings for audiences looking for thrills and chills. On the 9th, New Line Cinema is back with their next horror film based on the work of the legendary Stephen King with writer/director Gary Dauberman’s ’Salem’s Lot . Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant. Horror master James Wan on board as a producer, and the film stars Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, Jordan Preston Carter, William Sadler, Spencer Treat Clark, Cade Woodward, Debra Christofferson and Pilou Asbæk. New Line also delivers the newest film from director Olivia Wilde, entitled Don’t Worry Darling , which releases on September 23rd. Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, and Chris Pine star in this psychological thriller about a 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community who begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets. Wilde directed from a screenplay by Katie Silberman, story by Carey Van Dyke & Shane Van Dyke and Katie Silberman. And The Batman is not the only DC Super Hero to fly into theaters in 2022. Three additional features are headed your way, beginning with this summer’s DC League of Super-Pets on July 29th. The first big screen go-around for the furry, four-legged fighters for justice stars the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Marc Maron, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves in an animated adventure directed by Jared Stern. Sandberg returns as well, directing from a screenplay by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan, based on characters from DC. Looking further ahead, 2023 is set to deliver another massive wave of huge titles, starting with March 17th and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom . Jason Momoa reteams with director James Wan for the action adventure that follows the King of the Seven Seas when an ancient power is unleashed that forces Aquaman to forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation. Starring alongside Momoa are Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Randall Park, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, and Nicole Kidman.
